Any EU citizen who is a registered student at Coventry University

- Practical options available to you now to explore being your own boss
- Provides you with the resources to make it happen
What will I get from the day?
- Inspiration from graduates who have set up a business or are self employed
- Help to explore whether self employment or starting a business is suitable for you
- Opportunity to take up a free place in a 12 month programme to help you into self employment or successfully set up and run a business
- Practically experience how to identify and develop an idea
- Evaluate your idea and learn how it could be taken forward
- Turn your passion into profit
What will happen on the day?
- We start with inspiration – meeting graduates who’ve already taken the route you’ e exploring
- Workshops to explore three areas:
- Self Employment and Starting a Business – what it’s all about
- Ideas Creation – how to take forward your idea or create and develop one
- What local and national resources and options are available now that you can take on to Make It Happen
- Meet like-minded people and experts who can support you
You will leave with a practical route forward and a designated support team.
Who will be there?
National and local partners will be there from Government, NCGE (National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship), universities, business support organisations and much more.

On the 26th November, Students in Business will be hosting their first official Social Evening, a night dedicated to having a good laugh and a few drinks.

The 19th November will see Fil Adams-Mercer, owner of Parcels2Go, give us some insight into his business experiences and lessons learnt, on his journey to success.
We will also have some of the Institute of Directors coming along, to kick off the mentoring scheme.
And as usual we will have some fantastic food and drink from the Start-Up Cafe. The evening kicks off as usual at 6pm.
